BioBash Python

BioBash Python builds solid programming foundations in Python. The 5-day workshop is carefully crafted of hands-on tutorials with biological examples. The course assumes no prior programming knowledge, so we’ll make sure that the basics are well covered. Participants will design many Python scripts that can be repurposed later for automating repetitive tasks such as parsing biological sequence files. Moreover, participants will learn how to use Python interactively to explore and plot their data. Special emphasis will be given to the BioPython package, and the participants will learn how to access online databases and parse biological file formats.
